Have you have seen litter on your favourite local beach? I am writing to invite you to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum’s Marine Litter Day on Saturday 13th March 2010 at the Merlin Theatre, Haverfordwest. The event is an ideal way to find out more about sources and impacts of coastal/marine litter, how it is managed and what you can do to help locally. The day will comprise a series of talks with opportunities to ask questions.  A programme will be available shortly, but speakers include the Marine Conservation Society, Keep Wales Tidy, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Skomer MNR, Neptune’s Army of Rubbish Cleaner, Surfers Against Sewage and the Arklow Coastcare Group from Ireland. 

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the subject and I have attached a flyer for the event. Please forward this on to anyone who may be interested as the event is open to all. Registration will be from 9.30 a.m. onwards for a 10a.m. start and a 2.30pm finish. The event is free and refreshments are provided. The Forum will not be holding a formal AGM this year. At the end of March, Forum annual progress presentations will be able to be viewed from the Forum website with an opportunity to add your comments.  If you would prefer to talk to the Forum team directly about progress or future activities, the team is holding a ‘drop-in’ afternoon on Tuesday 30th March between 1pm and 4.30pm at the Old Sail Loft, Milford Docks, Milford Haven.  Please get in touch if you need directions to the Sail Loft.
